Our Commitment to Social Responsibility

At McGraw Hill, we're committed to supporting education in the communities we serve through staff volunteerism and financial support. McGraw Hill's Red Cube Cares supports and celebrates employee giving around the world.
Our Red Cube Cares Working Group – made up of local office representatives – collaborates on global volunteer and fundraising events and McGraw Hill's Red Cube Cares Matching Gift program is a global program that encourages employee giving by providing additional funding to qualifying nonprofit organizations where our employees have made personal donations. As part of our Red Cube Cares efforts in 2020, we:

Donated over $350,000 of new books

Contributed $250,000 to match employee donations made to nonprofit organizations

Hosted our first global McGraw Hill Holiday Giving Campaign, raising nearly $100,000 for local food banks and charities in the communities we serve around the world

Engaged hundreds of employees in a fundraising effort for Save the Children, where McGraw Hill's CEO donated a dollar for every sock he received for his pet dog, Jasper

Donated over $11,000 of school supplies to kids in need through Volunteers of America's Operation Backpack campaign

Created and donated over 7,000 masks
to essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic

Raised over $1,500 for the American Cancer Society by coordinating the sale of over 200 #RedCubeProud t-shirts

Contributed over INR 1 Million towards
COVID-19 relief funds in India and provided sanitization supplies for 350 children in Rainbow Homes across Delhi

Sustainability
Since 2013, McGraw Hill has reduced its carbon footprint by decreasing its square footage by 1.6 million rentable square feet, implementing energy-saving technology and avoiding landfills by participating in private and municipal recycling programs. Several of our offices are Gold LEED certified and exemplify our long-term commitment to smart environmental construction and real estate management.

Integrity
McGraw Hill and its employees are committed to integrity, honesty, and good faith in all of our dealings. We maintain a Code of Business Ethics (COBE) on which all employees receive training each year. Each employee is required to acknowledge and agree to abide by the COBE annually as a condition of employment.
